Exceptional Educator Awards 2018-2019
The NHDSA would like to recognize outstanding educators for the 2018-2019 school year who have made exceptional contributions to the education of people with Down Syndrome, ages 3 to 21. Two awards will be given in May 2019 in the amount of $250 to the individual and $250 to the school.
Nominations: Nominations may be made by a student, parent, teacher, or any individual. Awards will be given to an educator who has gone above and beyond to promote education excellence for students with Down syndrome. We would like to recognize contributions to promoting inclusion, innovation, and educators who are dedicated to advancing the academic progress and achievement of students with Down syndrome. To nominate an educator, please return the following application to PO Box 259, Londonderry, NH 03053 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Recipient Eligibility: Awards will be given to educators who work in either an inclusive or special education setting, and may be a teacher, paraprofessional, therapist, or administrator in the state of New Hampshire.
Selection Committee: The nominations will be reviewed and award recipients determined by a Selection Committee comprised of Board Members from the New Hampshire Down Syndrome Association.
Deadline: May 1, 2019 and awards determined by late May 2019.
